Accounts and sign in

How do I create an account?

Use the Register link in the top navigation. Add your name, email address and password, then follow any on-screen prompts. Once registered, use Login to access your dashboard.

Where do I find my dashboard?

After logging in, open the account menu in the top right and choose My Dashboard. Your dashboard shows your activity, bookings, course history and available community tools.

What should I do if I cannot log in?

Check that your email address is typed correctly, then use any password reset option shown on the login page. If the problem continues, contact the centre with the email address used on your account.

How do I change my details?

Sign in, open Dashboard and use Account Settings. Contact the Centre if a field cannot be changed there.

What if my account may be compromised?

Reset your password, do not share authentication codes, and report the account-security concern promptly.

Activities and courses

How do I book an activity?

Go to Activities, open the activity you want, and use the booking button or instructions on that page. Some activities may have limited spaces or require staff confirmation.

Can I see courses I have taken?

Yes. Log in and open your dashboard or History page to review course records and activity where that information is available for your account.

How do I cancel or change a booking?

Bookings can be cancelled from the event or course page, or from your dashboard, until payment has been recorded. Please contact the manager if you need help with a paid booking.

Community areas

What are community chat areas for?

Community chat areas are for local conversations, notices and support between members. Keep posts relevant, respectful and suitable for the wider community.

Why can I not see every chat room?

Some rooms may be private or invite-only. If you believe you should have access, contact a staff member or administrator for help.

How do I report a post or behaviour?

Use Report a Concern. Include the page, person, content and time. Reports are private from ordinary users.

Messages and marketplace

How do I post an item in Buy & Sell?

Open Buy & Sell and follow the on-page instructions to add item details, price or free status, collection information and contact preferences.

Where do marketplace replies appear?

Replies appear in Messages. When logged in, the account menu may also show a message indicator if there are unread marketplace conversations.

How should I stay safe when arranging collection?

Inspect goods where practical, use safe collection arrangements, never share passwords or authentication codes, avoid suspicious payment links, and report anything unsafe.

Is New Ballagh Centre responsible for marketplace transactions?

No. The Centre provides the facility but is normally neither buyer nor seller and does not guarantee goods, identities, payment, collection or delivery. See the Terms.
